Overview

Micro-Lock™ Connectors
Molex’s Micro-Lock™ wire-to-board connectors provide the best combination of pin protection, compact size and low insertion force compared to similar competitive versions. The Micro-Lock™ connector family consists of two sub-families in 1.25 and 2.00mm pitch. The 2.00mm pitch version is a single-row right-angle system available in 2 to 15 circuits with a maximum current rating of 3.0A. The 1.25mm pitch version is available in straight and right-angle styles for both single and dual rows with a maximum current rating of 1.5A. The single-row type is offered in 2 to 16 circuits while the dual-row style is offered in 16 to 40 circuits. Micro-Lock connectors are finding use in applications for a variety of industries that require space savings and contact assurance.

Both pitch styles include a "damage-free" pin feature that protects contacts during forced or angled mating. This feature is comprised of guard walls and detent features that guide the housing into the header without allowing the pin to be touched until proper mating alignment is achieved. Both systems also include an outer thumb-latch design with two locking points for secure mating, and a tin-plated contact design that provides low insertion force even when compared to gold-plated versions.
