groov is Opto 22's new way to build, deploy, and view simple, effective, and scalable operator interfaces to monitor and control systems and equipment using computers and mobile devices. Using only a modern web browser, groov lets you quickly and securely build and deploy browser-based interfaces for automation, monitoring, and control applications. These operator interfaces can then be viewed on almost any computer or mobile device regardless of its manufacturer or operating system, including PCs, tablets, smartphones, and even smart high-definition televisions. GROOV-SVR-WIN is installed on a Microsoft Windows computer and runs as a service. The following groov software is stored and served on the Windows PC:

groov Build — The browser-based software you use to build operator interfaces and set user permissions and security. No plugins are required (no Java, no Silverlight, no Flash). Because it's browser-based, you can build interfaces on any brand computer with a modern web browser (not just Windows computers). To build, you drag and drop from a library of touchscreen-ready gadgets, then apply tags from your existing tag database. No tag limits.

groov View — The interface you've built, which authorized users can view on just about any web-enabled device equipped with a modern web browser. You can monitor and control your system or equipment from anywhere. No user or device limits; no keys; no user fees. groov's initial design works with Opto 22 control systems: all SNAP PAC controllers, including SoftPAC, and OptoEMU Sensor energy monitoring units. Price includes groov Server for Windows, all groov software, and one year of updates.
