Overview

The V and W Series filters will protect equipment from malfunctions due to conducted interference coming into the equipment from the line, especially line-to-line noise and transients. In addition, they combine line-to-ground interference rejection filters with additional circuitry to reduce line-to-line transients. They are also effective in controlling emissions in equipment using SCR and T2L circuits, for compliance with FCC Part 15, Subpart J and VDE 0871, Level A, down 150 kHz. The V Series provides an N=3 line-to-ground impedance for common mode and an N=5 impedance for line-to-line differential mode interference. The filters are designed for susceptibility use when equipment impedance at RF frequencies is low. The W Series provides an N=4 line-to-ground impedance for common mode and an N=5 impedance for line-to-line differential mode interference. The two-stage construction provides excellent suppression at high frequency. Maximum Leakage Current (Line-to-Ground): 0.5 mA @ 120 VAC, 60 Hz; 0.82 mA @ 250 VAC, 50 Hz. Hipot Rating (1 minute): Line-to-Ground — 2250 VDC; Line-to-Line — 1450 VDC. Operating Frequency: 50/60 Hz. Maximum Rated Voltage: 250 VAC.
