TE Connectivity Dynamic Family of Series – Dynamic 3000 Series – D-3100 | D-3200 | D-3400 | D-3500 | D-3700 | D-3900 Series Crimp Contacts & Connectors:

The 3000 series is the main Dynamic Series. They are widely used as industrial 'signal' and 'power' connectors. Pin layout comes in three types: standard 3.81mm pitch high voltage, 5.08mm pitch type and 7.5mm spring clamp pitch type. The former one is used for signal circuits and the latter two are for high-voltage circuits. For power source usage, it meets recent demands for small size and high power due to the increasing miniaturisation of the machinery, and the newly developed copper alloy, which can carry a higher current of 15A per pole despite its small size. This concept is based on the development of the Dynamic Series to cover as wide a range of solutions for as many customers as possible. This concept makes the D-3000 series terminals fit all the housings, and the wide variety of which means that it is not necessary for a customer to look outside of this range for every requirement.

Applicable to both signal circuit and power supply circuit carrying a maximum current of 15A per pole, a full lineup is available from Wire-to-Wire panel type and free hanging type, to Wire-to-Board horizontal and vertical type.

  • 3 Plating types are available depending on applications, to meet the customer's cost, performance requirements and applications. Under a normal environment with few insertions and withdrawals tin plating can be used, where there is a large number of insertions and withdrawals then gold plating 0.38 m thick should be used. Further where th environment is deleterious then gold plating at 0.76 m thick can be selected
  • 2 types of contact pressures are available depending on application: standard Contact pressure for withstanding a large number of insertions and withdrawals or other extreme environments, and high Contact pressure for vibration prone applications
  • Despite its small size, it conducts up to 15A (at a maximum temperature of 30°C ). The latest developed copper alloy adds to the reliability of the 3-point contact structure
  • When mating, a clear 'lock' sound and vibration will be felt by the assembler, that can prevent working 'blind' mis-mating (or halfmating) problems
  • The housing provides a keying (slit), hence mis-matings can be prevented by using the X and Y keys separately. At the same time, the keying plug can be used to create new key patterns
