Overview
Phoenix Contact CLIPLINE Complete Modular Terminal Block System: PT Push-in Family | PT Series — Push-in Connection Technology | Simply Consistent:
PT push-in connection terminal blocks have been developed for direct conductor connection. This means that solid conductors or conductors with ferrules can be inserted directly into the terminal block without tools. The special spring profile enables the easy insertion of conductors with ferrules from 0.25 mm2. The contact spring is opened automatically when the conductor is pushed in and thereby provides the required pressure force against the current bar. Both for releasing conductors and connecting small cross sections from 0.14 mm2, the spring is opened by means of the actuation lever – easily and without direct contact with live parts. The actuation lever can be operated with all standard screwdrivers.
The PT connection terminal blocks are subjected to tests which go beyond the basic terminal block standard, enabling them to be used in all sectors of industry, such as energy supply, transportation technology, process engineering, in particular the chemical and petrochemical industry or shipbuilding. The push-in connection technology is tested for maximum vibration and shock resistance. The test runs through a frequency range of 5 Hz to 150 Hz at a speed of up to 5.72 m/s2. The test objects are tested on each of the three axes (x, y, z). No contact interruptions > 1 μs are permitted during the test. Push-in connection technology meets these high requirements in terms of vibration and shock loads up to 350 g.
Features:
Time-saving pre-treated and solid conductor connection, thanks to tool-free direct connection technology
Convenient insertion, thanks to 50 percent lower insertion forces
Safe wiring and operation, thanks to the color-coded push button
Connection of all conductor types, thanks to convenient front connection
The conductor can be easily released – without special tools
Reduction in logistics costs with the uniform CLIPLINE complete system accessories
