Marketing

The Marketing Department at Allied is unique, in that it combines three separate, but equally vital areas:

Brand Strategy is responsible for managing the Allied brand, and for creating and producing a variety of digital and traditional advertising material. It provides the voice and public persona of Allied, as well as crafts advertising material and messages for outside suppliers.

Brand Strategy includes:

  • Copywriters
    Copywriters who provide the written scripts for print and digital ads, emails, web pages, brochures, direct mail pieces, press releases, and more.
  • Graphic Designers
    Graphic Designers who take that copy and bring it to life visually, incorporating established branding standards.
  • Internal and External Communications Specialists
    Internal and External Communications Specialists who convey critical company-related messages to both in-company and public audiences, using company newsletters, emails, and press releases.

Customer Marketing speaks directly to customers through a variety of media, but is most active in the area of digital outreach. They drive the customer lifecycle through a multi-channel approach, with an increasingly important emphasis on ecommerce.

Customer Marketing is made up of:

  • Ecommerce Product Managers
    Ecommerce Product Managers who oversee our digital assets, such as thinkallied.com and other internal tools. The EPM is the product owner, and drives the project from beginning to end, guiding everything from the initial proposal to design and implementation.
  • Web Designers
    Web Designers who construct everything Allied-related across the Internet, from the website to our emails and everything in-between. Our designers not only provide the layout, but also keep the user experience and best practices top-of-mind for everything they work on.
  • Paid Search Specialists
    Paid Search Specialists who are responsible for the strategy and execution of our paid search program, as well as much of our online display media and retargeting. This high-performance crew focuses on efficient customer acquisition and analytics.
  • Media Managers
    Media Managers who work on placing Allied in all the right media, both online and offline, ensuring we’re delivering relevant messages to the right audience. Additionally, this position works with our Product Management department and suppliers to plan and manage marketing campaigns.
  • Marketing Specialists
    Marketing Specialists who develop and execute everything from our email program to on-site merchandising and supplier marketing campaigns. If you see Allied products or suppliers just about anywhere, chances are a member of this versatile group played a major role in getting there.

eCommerce Development maintains and develops the public-facing website in support of a great customer experience. They are a collaborative group, made up of experts in C#, ASP.NET, MS SQL Server, Project Management, and Support, who work very hard as a team to address complex business requirements by developing intuitive, integrated web interfaces.

Key roles in eCommerce Development include:

  • Web Developers
    Web Developers who are the experts when it comes to solving problems with technology, and who know code inside and out.
  • Business Analysts
    Business Analysts who work directly with our customers on features, enhancements, and improvements to our website.

Acting as a hybrid of internal marketing department and outside advertising agency, Allied Marketing produces everything from traditional print ads, direct mail pieces, and brochures to cutting edge behavioral marketing strategies, social media marketing, and eCommerce product management, both for customers and Allied. Whatever your marketing strength, it will find a home at Allied.
