Information Services

Do you want to be part of an Information Services (IS) team that is at the heart of a fast-moving, growing company? Allied processes nearly 5,000 orders a day, so responsive and reliable systems are critical for our success. The Information Services team is a multi-talented and energetic group that implements, supports, and enhances the key systems that drive Allied’s business.

In IS, our team members wear different hats and are on the front line working with every functional department to realize optimum efficiency and quality. Our state-of-the-art technology platforms create the need for talented people in these roles:
  • SAP Business Analysts
    SAP Business Analysts who work directly with the Sales, Product Management, Distribution, Finance, and HR departments to define, develop, and implement new and improved capabilities.
  • SAP Business Warehouse and Business Objects Developers
    SAP Business Warehouse and Business Objects Developers who provide timely information for decision support across the business.
  • Systems Administrators
    Systems Administrators who manage and support the state-of-the-art IBM, Cisco, Windows, and NetApp infrastructure platforms.
  • SAP Basis Administrators
    SAP Basis Administrators who manage, tune, and optimize the performance and reliability of our SAP ERP system.
  • Network and Telecom Specialists
    Network and telecom specialists who manage and optimize the data and voice network that supports the Corporate office and our 43 sales offices around the country.
  • Systems Analyst/Programmers
    Systems Analyst/Programmers who design and develop custom programs for vendor reporting, EDI, and workflow applications.
  • SAP ABAP Developers
    SAP ABAP developers who design, develop, and implement optimized solutions within SAP to improve Allied’s processes.
  • Project Managers
    Project Managers who plan, lead, and implement projects in any technology area for any area of the business.
  • Help Desk Technicians
    Help Desk technicians in the IS Support Center who provide friendly, responsive assistance for Allied’s 800+ employees across the country.
  • Enterprise Architect
    Enterprise Architect who also leads our Continuous Improvement initiative for process simplification, called Simply Allied.
