Overview

The model 248/249 is a value priced panel control and has proven high performance characteristics in a cost effective package. They are designed to become the choice when seeking high quality, inexpensive panel or PCB mounting potentiometers. The model 248 is conductive plastic with ±20% resistance tolerance and the 249 is cermet with ±10% tolerance. The 248 is 0.5 watts at 70°C with a temperature coefficient of 1000 ppm/°C. The 249 is 1.0 watts at 70°C with a temperature coefficient of 100 ppm/°C. Both have 295° (±5°) mechanical rotation with 265° (±5°) electrical rotation. Rotational Life: 50,000 cycles. Shaft: Plated brass. The housing and rear lid are flame-retardant plastic. Terminals: Phosphor bronze with solder plated. Operating Temperature: –55°C to +125°C. Load Life: 1000 hours at 70°C.
