The base and ring are molded of high density ceramic. The winding is uniform to maintain maximum resolution and power dissipation. The insulator is molded of high density, porcelain/ceramic. Three terminals permit use as a potentiometer, or a rheostat. Durable ceramic cement coating provides the bonding medium necessary to securely attach the ring and base together and to lock the windings from shifting. 300° rotation. MP06A has 1⁄8" shaft; MP10A, MP15A, MP25A, and MP30A have 1⁄4" shaft; MP40A has 3⁄8" shaft. Standard position for the locating tab is at 6 o'clock with the terminals down.
