Hoods for the boyz

Pros: This is an inexpensive hood for a DB9 connector, and consists of two grey hood halves, cable clamp, hardware to hold the hood halves together, and hardware to affix the completed connector to its mating receptacle. The plastic parts are well formed and fit together cleanly; there is little flash from the molding process. The cable clamp is a two-piece metal assembly; for smaller cable, one half of the clamp may be reversed for an improved grip. I have installed literally hundreds of these hoods, and the manufacturer has an unusually high degree of accuracy for getting all of the parts into every bag -- commendable especially considering how small some of the hardware is. For less than 50 cents, this is an outstanding investment in the life of your DB9 connector.
Cons: The standard grey might not harmonize well with your rooms color scheme.
