Overview

Connector, EZ-RJ45 Modular Plug, Category 5, for twisted pair cables
The new patented EZ-RJ45™ connector simplifies installation, allowing the twisted cable pairs to insert through the connector. There is no difficult to handle liner or wire bar to deal with. Inspection of the correct conductor order is done before crimping so no connector is wasted due to incorrect wiring. The conductors are pulled forward so the pairs are very close to the contacts. This method allows the integrity of the pairs to maintain Category 5, and even enhanced Category 5 capabilities.
The EZ-RJ45™ can be crimped with almost any standard tool, then trimmed with a cutter or small utility knife. However, the new BD45000 crimp tool crimps and trims the exposed conductors in one operation. The vertical action of the crimper makes a uniform and positive crimp.

Pros: I have used these connectors many times and they save us time and the hassle of re-doing connectors because the technician failed to do it correctly the first time.
Cons: Cutter isn't very effecient...leaves some strands uncut, but can be re-trimmed after.
Other thoughts: Crimper could be a little cheaper.

Inexpensive and they work

Pros: I’d recommend these as a good connector for RJ45.
Cons: None to speak of...simple product.
