Overview
RS PRO cartridge fuses are a reliable means of protecting circuits and equipment from electrical surges. These fast-action fuses work instantaneously and 'blow out' or break the circuit within seconds of being exposed to overloads or short circuits.
The fuses have see-through glass bodies that let you check for circuit breakage quickly and directly. If you see the metal wire inside is molten or burnt, the circuit is broken. The nickel-plated brass ends ensure durability and provide excellent resistance to corrosion and rust.
As part of the RS PRO range, these fuses are thoroughly checked for consistency. They comply with British and European standards (DIN 4166; IEC 127-2/II and EN 60127-2/II and more) that specifically test the integrity of cartridge-fuses. A low-cost solution that's easy to install, a glass-body cartridge fuse is commonly used in instrument panels, small appliance circuits and automotive accessories.
