OMRON is pleased to announce the release of New Digital Barometric Pressure Sensors 2SMPB-02B and 2SMPB-02E.
Ideal for battery operated mobile devices.

Omron's new Digital Barometric Pressure Sensors 2SMPB-02B and 2SMPB-02E feature MEMS sensor chip for sensing air pressure and IC chip for signal processing in a small package of 2.0 mm in length × 2.5 mm in width × 0.85 mm in thickness. These absolute pressure sensors are able to measure barometric pressure change with high accuracy of ± 0.6 Pa, corresponding to a height difference of ± 5 cm.

The 2SMPB-02B of the absolute pressure sensor is the successor model of 2SMPB-01-01.
New product 2SMPB-02E can be used with high accuracy over temperature and pressure range wider than conventional product 2SMPB-02B.

Both 2SMPB-02B and 2SMPB-02E are suitable for various applications such as smart phones, tablets, PCs, GPS, and wearable devices.
