Overview
Phoenix Contact EM-DUO Series – DIN Rail-mounted Service Outlets:
EM-DUO outlets are fully enclosed, touch proof service outlets for mounting on NS 35 DIN rails inside today’s control cabinets. Available in a wide array of variations, the EM-DUO is able to meet the needs of most UL and non-UL panel shops. The EM-DUO is available with 15 and 20 A ratings with or without ground fault interrupt, surge protection and auxiliary outputs. Switch-control variants are also available. For high-voltage applications, a 250 V AC, 15 A version is available. All EM-DUO outlets are UL listed and can be used in a UL panel or system. This allows the user to quickly obtain UL recognized products versus purchasing non-recognized components and waiting for UL approval.
Series Features Overivew:
Single outlets – Provide maximum space savings while providing a single outlet for the control panel, available in European and North American versions with a current capacity of 15 A.
Dual power outlets – A fully enclosed, dual utility outlet that offers two 120 V AC/15 A or 20 A receptacles. For enhanced safety, the grounding pin is located at the top to prevent shorting between the hot and neutral blades.
Ground fault circuit interruption outlets – A fully enclosed, dual utility outlet series, rated for 120 V AC/15 A.
The EM-DUO 120/15/GFI features enhanced safety with the grounding pin located at the top to prevent shorting between the hot and neutral blades
The EM-DUO 120/.../GFI/AUX outlets include auxiliary terminals for protection of downstream devices by the GFI outlet
The EM-DUO 120/GFI/AUX/NO faceless outlet has no outlets but allows downstream protection via auxiliary terminals
Vertical or horizontal mounted outlets – These control cabinet outlets can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the DIN rail. The dual outlet package is a fully enclosed, dual utility outlet that offers two 120 V AC/15 A or 20 A receptacles.
Switch outlets – Fully enclosed utility outlets that offer 120 V/15 A or 20 A receptacles and an ON/OFF toggle switch. For status, the switch is equipped with a small indicator light that illuminates when the switch is activated and voltage is present.
Surge protected outlets – DIN rail-mount convenience outlet with Transient Voltage Surge Suppression (TVSS).
EM-DUO 120/15/SPD – Touch-safe, dual utility outlet with surge protection device protects laptops, instrumentation, or other sensitive 120 V AC powered equipment from damage caused by transients on your AC-powered branch circuit.
EM-DUO 120/15/SPD/AUX – This version features the benefit of hard-wired terminal blocks output, so, in addition to protecting the NEMA outlet, you can protect other loads connected to the power distribution.
